He was so right! We are too comfortable. And you better watch out if someone "messes up" our routine! I mean, come on - this is the way it's ALWAYS been!<BR/><BR/>When Pastor, Libby, Shawn (my husband) and I came back from the Eagles Wings conf., that I've talked about lately, we were CHANGED people. I think some of our congregation thought that it was a "temporary" change - and expected us to go right back to the way it was. Too many are playing church. I used to say there is a fine line between religion and spirituality but now I say there is supposed to be the Grand Canyon. They are so different! I long to be more spiritual than religious. What a sermon!!! Unfortunately there are too many "Aquarium keepers" I was just reading in Matthew the other day a scripture that I just had to underline and keep going back to. I even put a sticky note there to mark the page. It is a quote by Jesus responding to the Pharisees, "I'm after mercy, not religion. I'm here to invite the outsiders, not coddle the insiders." OUCH!<BR/><BR/>Christians "get their feelings hurt" when someone is too "straight forward regarding sin and God's Word. Jesus made that statement above.
